Female-founded. Artist-led. Future-facing.

Our Mission

Boudicca Productions is a female-founded, artist-led theatre company rooted in Essex and the wider East of England. We create bold, ambitious, contemporary theatre.

Born from a desire to address the underrepresentation and misrepresentation of women’s voices in the creative industries, we champion new writing, both our own and the work of artists in our community, and create opportunities for women and underrepresented artists to develop, lead and share their work.

By investing in artists and audiences, we aim to build a thriving creative community and contribute to a richer, more inclusive cultural landscape. We want to create work that speaks honestly to the world around us and allows audiences to see their lives, experiences and perspectives, so rarely reflected on stage, with authenticity, grace and imagination.

At the heart of Boudicca is a simple belief: there is always room for more voices, more stories and a little creative magic.
